New Delhi
Nine days of literary celebration, cultural exchange, international publishing, and the boundless world of knowledge — at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF), being held for the past 54 years, is a major calendar event in the publishing world. NDWBF 2027 is scheduled to be held from 16 to 24 January 2027 in Halls 2–6 at the centrally located Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The Fair is organized by National Book Trust, India (under the Ministry of Education, Government of India). ITPO (under Ministry of Commerce, Government of India) is the co-organiser and venue partner of the fair.
India is the third largest country in the world in terms of publishing and book trade. NDWBF offers exhibitors a unique opportunity for business with this growing book industry. It is also an ideal venue for promoting titles, co-publication arrangements and trade.
Besides the many literary and publishing conferences and programmes organized during the Fair, it opens up a gateway to the publishing and intellectual world of India. The Fair attracts participation from major publishing houses across the globe.
"A gateway to the publishing and intellectual world of India — where books, ideas, and cultures from across the world converge for nine transformative days."
Nine days of world-class literary programming — from international publishing conferences to children's storytelling, cultural performances, and rights exchange forums.
Each edition of NDWBF celebrates the transformative power of books through carefully curated themes reflecting India's literary identity and the global publishing landscape.
Celebrating India's rich tradition of storytelling, manuscripts, and vernacular literature. The Theme Pavilion — designed by the National Institute of Design — showcases the theme with creatives, graphics, installations, books, walls, and artefacts, with literary sessions and cultural activities held around the theme throughout the Fair.
International co-publishing, translation rights, and cross-cultural literary exchange. India is the third largest country in the world in terms of publishing and book trade. NDWBF is the gateway to this industry — attracting major publishing houses from across the globe and facilitating international co-publication arrangements.
A dedicated Children's Pavilion promotes children's literature and reading habits through storytelling sessions, workshops, panel discussions, interactive sessions, quizzes, and contests. Conducted by renowned authors, illustrators, and education professionals, activities see massive participation by teachers and children from government and private schools.
CEOSpeak brings together industry leaders — CEOs and senior executives from Indian and international publishing houses — to share and exchange ideas about the Indian and international book trade. The exclusive B2B Chairman's Breakfast is a platform for strategic dialogue shaping the industry's future.
A melting pot for different literary and cultural festivals from across India, the Festival of Festivals provides a platform for festival organisers to create a meeting point for their communities within NDWBF. In its debut edition, it brought together over 100 speakers across 32 sessions.
The New Delhi Rights Table (18–19 January 2027) offers B2B matchmaking sessions among publishers in a refreshingly new business ambience. Exhibitors book their own Rights Table, meet each other, present products and ideas, and finalize interests and agreements for transfer of translation and other rights in English, Hindi and other Indian languages.
NDWBF 2027 will feature distinguished authors, publishers, educators, policymakers, and cultural icons from India and around the world. Speaker announcements will be updated as confirmed.
Full speaker lineup will be announced closer to the event. Check nbtindia.gov.in for updates.
NDWBF 2027 is housed across five halls at Bharat Mandapam — India's premier convention and exhibition centre, centrally located in New Delhi.
